The Canggu Necklace is one of my most personal pieces.
I have to give full credit to my husband, Dan, who designed the original dog tag for me when I gave birth to our first son. It became a piece I wore close to my heart, especially when travelling, as a way of keeping my babies with me wherever I went.
I love the weight of the solid gold and the simplicity of the design. It feels strong, meaningful and deeply personal — the kind of jewellery that becomes part of your everyday life.
Each dog tag can be engraved with names, initials, dates or words that hold special meaning. You can also choose the engraving font, allowing the piece to feel completely your own.
For me, part of the beauty of this design is that each tag can one day be passed on to the child whose name it carries. When the time is right, the necklace can become more than something I wore as a mother — it can become a piece of their own story. My children definitely know their named dog tags are there, waiting quietly in the background.
The necklace is shown on a long 88cm staple chain. The number eight is considered lucky in Chinese culture, making the length a subtle and meaningful detail. The chain can be worn long, layered with other necklaces or styled in a way that feels personal to you.
